Maine Coon cats are known for their chirping, and especially for their trilling.

These two sounds are kind of like a cross between a meow and a purr.

It's hard to describe in words!

A chirp, as it's name implies, is shorter, and sounds very much like a greeting.

A trill is longer, and such a sweet sound.
